Can a blind or partially blind by birth can turn to normal without gles?

Well friends I had been supporting a girl who was separated from her posted a question telling me all sort of humiliations she underwent in her married life and of level 6 on yahoo answers to pretending as a blind ( this is the reason I posted a question can a blind girl always sit n answer on yahoo answers ) and now she tell she underwent treatment and now she can read and write without gl on is it possible?? or she is FAQ or had been fooling.
