Can some one in Alabama answer please?

can the police in alabama bring a ticket to your front door? i am having a problem with one cop who likes haring people in the town i live in. he said they are allowed to knock on the door and give a ticket. i have emailed the president and am planing on getting in touch with the birmingham news about the unjust crap going on in this town. i am having a hard time accepting him calling people liers, i can't stand liers. thank's for your answer. and i don't want any smart hateful answers.
