How did FDR's "New Deal" programs help change the face of the government from "small" to "big" in the 1930's?
The New deal provided many programs that helped the US get back on its economic role. FDR started many programs that helped people get back their jobs, and run the economy better. This helped to change the face of the govt. from "small" to "big" becuase people thought the government began to care about them; more importantly, now that FDR was here, it provided a sense of hope for them. The government was becoming "bigger" in the eyes of regular people who had gotten their jobs back.
