Is this Normal when taking Concerta?

I'm a college student, and I've never been diagnosed with ADD/ADHD, but its finals week and i wanted something to help me study and stay motivated for final exams. one of my friends gave me his 54 mg Extended Release Concertas.. I took it about an hour and a half ago... I feel normal.. like absolutely normal. i dont feel any more focused or energetic. However, 35-40 mins after I did feel like a jolt of energy accompanied with some euphoria.. but that only lasted about 10 minutes... and i literally came down to being my normal self. Is this normal.....? I have no tolerance to these meds, and im taking the strongest pill concerta makes... and im not feeling a thing? Does it just take a while to kick in?
