What should I do with a guy that likes me but he has a girlfriend that is menacing him if he breaks up?

I met a guy 2 months ago. We had great chemistry. He made quite some efforts to know me. But I found weird that he wasnt trying anything so I asked whether he has a gf. He admitted yes and told me they are in a very rocky stage and the situation is complicated. And he said he likes me a lot. I told him I also like him but i dont want to have any complications and want to back off a bit. We didnt meet again since then but only chat online. A week later, he told me that he tried to break up because he is very tired of the relationship but didnt succeed because his gf was menacing him and made him guilty to leave her. And I learned from my friends that he did try to break up but his gf was threatening him. Any suggestions for my role in this situation? Completely ignore him till they break up / remain just friend / push him to decide?... I like him a lot but i am also a bit time pressu
