Would you accept higher taxes proportionate to income to pay for higher social expenditures allocated to educa?

If there were benefits to society from spending more money on education and that money was going to be spent equitably, my answer would be yes. Since I think both of those premises are at best doubtful, my answer is no without seeing a specific spending proposal.
