Your ideas for the namesake Diana?

My great grandmothers name is Diana and we really want her to be our daughters namesake. One problem, Diana doesn't sound good with the first name we like. So I was wondering if Diane would be good. Would you name your child's middle name Diane if you wanted them to have the namesake Diana or is it too different? Any other ideas would be great. Thanks! � ��
